Comparison of GIF and Interlaced GIF Images


A standard GIF image is displayed from top to bottom. An interlaced GIF image is displayed in sections producing a "venetian blind" effect. To study this example, click on the RELOAD button and watch the display closely.

The picture used in this example is actually better represented in a JPEG file. An image save with a 90% compression is included for your comparison.
